George Hunzinger was a furniture maker during the later half of the 19th century. He emigrated to the United States in 1855 and began manufacturing furniture in New York City. Like his contemporary furniture makers of the Victorian Age, Hunzinger's pieces are very decorative. What is unique about his furniture is the innovative and distinctive designs he patented. This site contains information and photo's of Hunzinger's work.

Green Platform Rocker
This sweet platform rocker was listed on eBay. Although the owner could not find the stamp, it is definitly a Hunzinger. The stamp was most likely on the under-side of the platform - this is where it is located on both rockers Christa and I own.

I'm new to this site and can't find where to leave general messages and pictures. My e-mail address is ironclaws@hotmail.com. Thanks, Samgsapryl
I would like the same information as Sam. I have 2 very similar rockers as this green one, but I cannot find Hunzinger or any other identification. I checked the bottom of the platform. Any other help in identifying these would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Peggy
