Why Refinish?

When I mention that I refinish antique furniture, many people say, "Don't do that, it will reduce the value!" And they are right... if the piece is already in good shape. The two Hunzinger chairs we have purchased have been in horrible shape. Mine in particular appears to have been left in a moldy basement for many years. In this case, the value of the piece has already reached rock bottom... it has nowhere to go but up. This pic is from the eBay listing...
