Merklen Brothers
The Merklen Brothers are another manufacturer that created furniture in New York City between 1885 and 1897. The brothers specialized in turned wood rockers, chairs, sofas, and tables. Many times, the furniture can be confused with that of George Hunzinger, but carful study of the two furniture styles reveals the subtle differences. Here is one example of a Merklen piece.
