George Hunzinger was a furniture maker during the later half of the 19th century. He emigrated to the United States in 1855 and began manufacturing furniture in New York City. Like his contemporary furniture makers of the Victorian Age, Hunzinger's pieces are very decorative. What is unique about his furniture is the innovative and distinctive designs he patented. This site contains information and photo's of Hunzinger's work.

Overpriced Hunzinger Chair
This one is listed on eBay starting at $450 with a buy it now price of $2500. Although the chair still has the original wire webbing and is stamped, it is way over priced for the condition it is in. The wire caning is broken and the finish is very worn. I'll try to update with final price - my bet: unsold or reserve not met. This item is probably worth about $150-250.
UPDATE:
Christa said this one did not sell.
Looks like this chair never sold on eBay... perhaps the owner will re-list it at a reduced price.
