Hunzinger Lollipop Platform Rocker

This is an absolutely wonderful piece. The first platform duplex-spring rocker in the lollipop style that I have seen. Absolutely marvelous.

Hunzingerish

This chair is listed as "Hunzinger Style" which is an accurate description. It doesn't match any of his known patents and is meerly similar in style to his folding chairs. Nice bamboo though...

Hunzinger Chair

This one is in fairly good shape and on eBay right now. What is remarkable is how many pictures the seller posted - 12! I only put up five her to save space. Note the patent stamp and what appears to be very old upholstery covering the horse-hair padding. I found this same horse-hair padding on my chair... who knows... could have been the same horse!!! This one is very nice. It has the twisted spindles like the Hunzinger my wife has and a leather upholstery like the one I have. I like it!

Two Patent Stamps

Hunzinger chair - Original Upholstery?

People frequently inquire as to what the original upholstery looks like for Hunzinger chairs... well, I really don't know. I suspect that the more beat-up the upholstery is, the more likely that it is original. In this case... it is pretty much ripped to shreds. Still a beautiful chair.
